In the beginning of the semester the student will use the sourcebook to compose a list of books that they intend to read.  Each day the student will read approximately 25 pages of the book and then write in their reading journals.  They will use the SD writing standards as a guide when writing their reflections.  They will also have a daily discussion with their teacher.  Upon completion of the book they will prepare a multi-media presentation which will entice fellow students to read the book.  Each project will take between 2 and 6 weeks depending on the length of the book.

Upon finishing the book the student will prepare an electronic presentation designed to entice fellow students to read the book.  This project will take between 2 and 6 weeks depending on how long the book is.
